5K Winners!

Jeff and I love to go, and run 5k races (3.1 miles) on the weekends through the summer.  This is something that is fun for us to share, and a great workout.  We woke up bright an early Saturday, and went and ran one in A.F.   I love to run with Jeff because he always pushes me a little harder than I would run, if I was on my own.  Plus its great for him with conditioning, for when he decides to really race. Ha Ha!   We paid $10.00 each for the race. (that went to the youth of A.F.)  Jeff and I ended up taking 1st, and 2nd place in the whole race (24 min 58 sec).   We walked away with $75.00 in gift certificates, between the both of us.  Sweet!!  This is why we love small races.  We always win something!  The funny thing is we didn't even run that fast, we were surprised we never got passed in the race.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELLIE!

Ellie had her 9Th Birthday April 25Th!  I cant believe that she is getting so big.  Ellie is such a special little girl.  We are so happy to have her in our family, and she brings so much joy in our lives.  Ellie is such a fun little person to be around.  She is always singing, dancing or making jokes.  She is defiantly not shy, and loves to be the center of attention.  She is not only beautiful, but a strong valiant little spirit.  Ellie is such a good example to her little sisters, and I love how close we are getting as she grows older.  She is turning into a beautiful young women!

For Ellie's birthday,we had a pool party on Thursday with all of her girl friends!  We had to move her party up, because Saturday was going to be rainy and cold.  That wouldn't do for a swimming party!  We officially opened our pool, and cranked the heat up to 91 deg.  The pool was nice and toasty.   Ellie doesn't like cake, so we had donuts, Twinkies, ding dongs, Cinnamon rolls, and root beer floats for  her desert.  This was after the girls had filed up on pizza, and fruit.  The party was a success!

On Ellie's official birthday we woke up and took her to I-Hop for breakfast.  She then came home, and played with her Rip Stick we got her for her birthday.  That night we got a babysitter for Paisley, and took the two older girls to Rumbie Grill, and the "Hanna Montana" movie.  Afterwards we went to the cute ice-cream shop at Thanks Giving Point, and got Ice-cream.  We defiantly celebrated to the fullest!

A little sugar overload!

I had to have candles for Ellie to blow out, so I got a mini cake to put them on!  I knew it wouldn't go to waist. Ha Ha

We ended up having about 14 girls at the party.  Mason and Mikell, Ellie's cousins came to help out also! (Jeff was out of town on business)

Breakfast at I-Hop!

Ellie got her first bikini undies.  She was pretty excited!

Ellie wanted a Rip stick for her birthday!  She's has not got off that thing for the last 2 days.  I let her bring it in the house, because it's been so cold outside.  Jeff and I have been chuckling at how she literally wont get off of it.  I will be glad when she finally takes it outside!

Spring Break!

We went to sunny St. George this year for spring break.  So we thought!  Us girls took off a day early with the kid, on wednesday so that we could get the kids out of the cold, and enjoy a little sun.  It rained  wednesday, and thursday, was a little chilly Friday, and finally the sun came out saturday, and sunday!
We went down with my Sister Vaniece, and her family. My Brother Ammon, and his family, and Mikell and Samuel.  It was fun to spend some time with the family!  We went shopping, played tennis (Which Jeff and I, schooled them all), went swimming, played tons of games, had coloring contest, went to the arcade, and ate tons of good food.   It was a great trip!

My cute family!

All the little cousins!

Picking out our great prizes we won at the arcade!

We stayed in a great condo that is three bedrooms.  It had a heated outdoor pool which was great considering the weather.  A hot tub, tennis courts, club house with a theater room, and a gym.  All the amenities you need for a great time!

Soaking up some sun!

SOCCER TIME!

Ellie is playing soccer for the first time this year.  She doing pretty well.  Her first game she made one of the two goals made by her team, and the game ended in a tie.  The second game they won by two goals and Ellie blocked one of the other teams goals when she was playing goalie.  Their third game they lost by one goal, and the game was called because of the rain!  I have never been a person who loved to watch sports.  I finally understand!  I have loved watching Ellie's games.  It's crazy how proud you can be for your kids, and how well  you want them to do.  I love this girl, and I'm so glad she is trying something new and loving it!

Ellie blocking a shot form the other team!

Boys And Their Toys!

I had to post about Jeff's new car!  He was so excited about getting this Nissan GTR! I guess it's the fastest stock car they make.
Jeff is a twin ,and he and his brother Ryan do, and get everything the same still at 35 years old.  I think it's great how close these two boys are!  Ryan got a white car, and Jeff got the black.

When Jeff got home from work the night he got his New Car, I was looking everywhere for him after I had put the girls to bed.  I finally went into the garage to see if he was there, and he was sitting in his car reading his instruction manual.  I started laughing so hard, it reminded me of a little boy at Christmas or his birthday!   I'm glad he could get something he wanted so bad.  He works so hard for our family, and he deserves a little something once in a while!

Nice Car!

Jeff took the girls and I for a ride, and was talking about being responsible with driving the car fast only at certain times when it was safe.  (This car is soooo fast that when he steps on it, your head slams into the head rest, and it feels like your on a roller coaster taking off.  The girls get a kick out of riding in it)  Anyway right after his big speech, he gunned it when we were coming around a corner heading back to our house.  The wheels went all squirley, and Jeff had to quickly correct the wheel so we didn't go out of control.   We almost ended up on the sidewalk.  I started laughing, and at the same time both girls started crying.  Both their heads had hit the windows in the back seat, and they got scared thinking they were dead!  I couldn't stop laughing about the little lecture Jeff had just given us about being responsible!  Ha Ha   Nothing like a first hand lesson!

A Little More Gymnastics!

The girls had another Gymnastics meet.  They both did really well and improved from their last meet, which is great!
Addison took 1- first place ribbon, 2- second place, and 1- third place.  She is doing awesome!  Addison is a level 4 but is still doing the level 3 routine on the bars because she broke her arm, and didn't feel comfortable doing all the skills on the bars.  She scored high enough to go to state, and move to level 5 but because she is still on level 3 bars she will wait 1 more year, which will mean that she will rock next year doing the same routines.

Ellie took 1- second place ribbons, 2- third, and 1- fourth place.  She improved so much on her beam, and bar routine.  She has to earn 2 more points in order to move to level 5 next year.  Most gymnasts take 2 years on each level.  It will be fun to see if the girls will both be doing the same routines next season.

Addison just nailed her bar routine, and was supper excited!

Ellie rocks at the vault!  She was excited to see her score.  They score each event form 1- 10. Every time Ellie has scored a 9.0 or higher!

Paisley tagging along.  It wont be to long before she's out there!

Easter Weekend!

We had a fun filled Easter weekend!  My kids had a cold, and Paisley had the Croup, so we made the best of it at home.
We stared our celebration with getting our eggs ready for coloring.  Addie was so excited to decorate the eggs.  She surprised me by getting all the eggs out of the pan, and drying them so we could start coloring.

Paisley was all over her sisters while they were trying to color their eggs!

We tried something a little different this year.  It was paint rollers for the eggs. FYI didn't work so well.  I had to pull out the trusty vinegar and food coloring.

The girls masterpiece!

Ellie and Addison had an Easter Program for their school, and were invited to sing as a school for the Lehi City Easter celebration.  Both the girls had a solo for the program.  It was a little nerve racking for me to hear them sing, hoping they would remember the words for their solos.  I was so proud of  the hard work they put into learning their songs.  They both did a great job and had a good experiance.

We decided to have the Easter egg hunt on Saturday for the kids, so that Easter sunday we could keep the focus on Christ.  The girls were so excited to go on the hunt.  To only be a kid again! Ha Ha

Paisley loved looking for all the Easter eggs.  Things changed in a hurry when Paisley dropped one of her eggs, and saw candy fall out!  The hunt was over for her.  She planted her little butt down on the stairs and started in on all of her eggs.  She was so funny in her little bunny outfit.

When it comes to candy Addison is a dye hard!! This girl was motivated to fill her basket, and she did!

Sunday morning the girls woke up to new Easter dressed, and their baskets.
I bought the girls dresses back in January from Costco, because they were so dang cute, and cheep.  I was so excited for them to wear them to church Easter sunday.  I hadn't seen anyone with the dresses yet, so I figured they sold out fast, and no one I knew had bought them.  So I thought!  We showed up to church Easter sunday, and there were at least a dozen little girls in the same dress.  All the other moms had the same bright idea to put the dresses away for Easter.  Note to myself,  make their dresses next year!  I'm kicking myself because I stared making my girls the cutest skirts that would have been darling for their easter dresses.  If only I had finished them!  Ha Ha there is always next year!

Not the best picture.  Nothing like rushing out the door for 9:00 a.m. church.

So cute!

So sweet!

So cranky!
(She was not feeling well, and only made it through 15 min of church before Jeff had to bring her home. The poor girl!  She did look so cute when she wasn't crying.)

Because Paisley had the Croup we had to change our plans of going to the Gardners last minute.  I pulled together a few things, and the day turned out wonderful.  My sisters Family, and my Dad and Penny, and Mom all came over for a big Easter dinner.  The food was fabulious!  My sister Vaniece brought some more eggs that we had the kids color, and then we had an adult/child egg hunt.  To make it interesting, we wrote dollar amounts on the egg.  Then Jeff told everyone that we could cash in with him.  Brandon my nephew found the $20.00 egg.  After the egg hunt we all sat down together for a Easter devotional, and games.  The perfect ending to our day!
 My family's the best!

A getaway to Florida!

Jeff and I were invited to Florida with our good friends Kesley and Madison the first week in April.   We were excited to get out of the cold weather, and enjoy some sun on the beach.  The first two days we were there it rained.  You would think that we were totally bummed out, but we had a chance to wind down in Kesley's dads pimp condo.  We watch movies, ate good food, and sat in the hot tub.  When the sun did decided to come out it was absolutely beautiful.  White beaches, green water, and all the spring breakers.  We had such a great time!  Thanks again to Kesley and Madison for the invite!
We got caught in a flash flood down poor, when we were going out to lunch!  I was drenched after 30 seconds.  It was fun!

Kesley and Madison knew the best places to eat.  We love good food!

A little relaxation with the hubby!

This was the view from the condo we were staying in.  It was awesome!

There were two pools, a hot tub, tennis courts, and weight room, right on the beach.  What more could you ask for.

Jeff is still Hot after 13 years!

Jeff chilling, and catching up on a little work.  The only downfall of the trip was Jeff and I couldn't sleep together in the same bed.  The spare bedroom only had twin beds.  We survived! Ha Ha

We went and hit balls at a tennis club, and had a couple of games.  I think Jeff, and I have a new passion.  We decided that we want to take lessons, so we wont  suck!  Well let me rephrase "I wont suck."

Jeff chillin in the hot tub!

The condo we stayed in was so cute, decorated in a funky modern style.  When you got off the elevator there was the cutest foyer to the front door.   Cute guys waiting for you always help the scenery!
